Swan Lake
A Bellydance Evolution Production
Where the Spirit of Water reigns and a sorceress rules in the shadow - one prince, one destiny, and a battle between light and dark told through the movement languages of the world.

The Story
Not a Revival. A Reimagining.
Maya, the Spirit of Water, governs a shimmering realm of harmony — until the sorceress Azara shatters it, transforming Odile into the Black Swan and plunging Swan Lake into shadow. When the curious young Prince Tariq follows his instincts to the forbidden lake and discovers the truth, he races home to warn his mother, Queen Jelilah. But Azara is already one step ahead — sending the Black Swan to enchant him, turn him against his own blood, and march him back to the lake as a weapon. What follows is a battle not just of white swans against dark ones, but of love against manipulation, and magic against corruption. Bellydance Evolution tells this story through the movement languages of cultures across the globe — and an original cinematic score written expressly for this production by composer Paul Dinletir.
The Vision
Jillina - Artistic Director
Jillina Carlano has devoted her life to the intersection of dance, storytelling, and community — and built one of the most distinctive companies in world fusion dance to prove it. Trained in Middle Eastern dance, folklore, jazz, ballet, and hip hop, she developed a choreographic voice that refuses to stay in a single tradition, weaving movement vocabularies from across the globe into productions that feel genuinely theatrical. As founder and artistic director of Bellydance Evolution, she has taken that vision to stages in more than 20 countries, leading a company celebrated by critics as "wildly acrobatic, fierce" and "mesmerizing." Swan Lake marks her most ambitious production to date — an entirely original reimagining built from the ground up, with a new story, new characters, and a new cinematic score commissioned from composer Paul Dinletir.

The Sound
Original Score by Paul Dinletir
Born in Beirut and shaped by jazz, classical, and global musical traditions, Paul Dinletir is the creative force behind some of the most emotionally charged music in modern cinema. As co-founder of Audiomachine, his scores have driven the trailers for Avatar, Avengers: Endgame, Dune, and the Olympic Games. For Swan Lake and BDEx: Alice in Wonderland, he builds an original score from the ground up — music that moves between worlds just as the stories do, anchoring a battle between light and shadow in sound that feels both ancient and cinematic.
