Inspired by world fusion and Middle Eastern dance traditions, Jillina's BDExperience reimagines this classic tale, incorporating Raqs Sharqi, Fusion and Folkloric dance to an original score by Paul Dinletir and featuring new music by Khader Ahmad. The Emerald City has never been quite this enchanting. So take a journey along the yellow brick road into a world of color at movement at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, OR.
About Jillina's BDExperience:
Jillina's BDExperience is an intensive, professional development program for intermediate to professional belly dancers. Dancers participate in 4 weeks of online training and then meet on location for a week of rehearsals culminating in the final performance.

BDExperience is directed by 3 international dance superstars, Jillina, Sabah & Luna. Take workshops with each of them on Sunday, August 6 at the Den PDX.
10-11:30 Luna - "Mystic Bellydance"
Technique, transitions and ways of combining different styles in order to create original movement pathways. Develop combinations for something truly unique and mystical.
11:45-1:45 Jillina - "Hips Like Battleships"
Lucious layers, intricate isolations mixed with ooey gooey hip technique.
2pm-3:30 Sabah - "She’s Got Legs"
Strengthening techniques, hip work and combinations that will add more depth, detail and power to your dance.
About The Program
Jillina's BDExperience is an intensive, professional development program for intermediate to professional belly dancers.
Dancers Apply online from all over the world to join the program and audition online with BDE Choreography.
Dancers receive online training for 4-6 weeks, learning choreography via instructional video and live meet-ups with the directors. Cast members receive individual feedback on their progress.
The Cast and Directors come together for 4 days of intense in-studio rehearsal, where they tighten the choreography, focus on expression, receive their costumes, polish their performance and take the stage!
